On one hand it is true that creative collaboration works better in an in-person environment, but conversely the open planned office is the greatest killer of productivity imaginable. I’m sure there will be no settling of the debate but the best balance likely comes down to job function and company culture. Hybrid seems to be the middle ground that will prevail.
